There is currently no need to announce a new wave of mobilization in Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the number of personnel who have signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense is sufficient to carry out tasks as part of the joint grouping of troops in the special military operation.

Earlier, State Duma Defense Committee Chairman Andrey Kartapolov expressed a similar position, stating that there is no need for a new mobilization at this time and pointing to the continuation of the operation and the advance of Russian forces in multiple areas.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that hundreds of Russians sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense every day, undergo training, and are then sent to the operation zone.
