Commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces Muhoozi Kainerugaba stated that his country’s army allegedly could take control of the capital of Iran within two weeks. He announced this on the social network X, specifying that the operation would take no more than 14 days and require only one brigade.

Earlier, on March 26, the head of Uganda’s defence forces had already declared the country’s readiness to join an armed conflict against Iran.

According to him, Uganda is not interested in prolonging the conflict in the Middle East, but in the event of a negative scenario is prepared to act on the side of an ally. He also stated that calls for the destruction of Israel are considered unacceptable in Uganda and would lead to support for Israel, recalling the assistance previously provided by Israel.

Uganda is a poor and relatively small landlocked African country. It gained particular notoriety under dictator Idi Amin, known for his eccentric and provocative actions, including declaring himself «Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea,» declaring war on the United States, and the next day announcing a «victorious victory.»
