Russia will be forced to take retaliatory measures if South Korea begins supplying weapons to Ukraine, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said, as cited by TASS.

At the same time, he expressed hope that such steps would not be necessary, emphasizing that Moscow has consistently warned Seoul against participating in direct or indirect arms supplies to Kiev.

On February 21, it was reported that South Korea is considering joining a NATO initiative to support Ukraine under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), which предусматривает procurement of military assistance for the AFU.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on the situation, stated that any form of South Korea’s participation in military supplies to Ukraine would push back the prospects for a settlement of the conflict.
