The Telegram channel «Voenny Osvedomitel» has published the first known image of a Ukrainian-made cruise missile «Flamingo,» captured during its flight. It is claimed that the image was taken during an attempted attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Samara region. The publication states that this is the first documented image of the missile in use.

Earlier, Fire Point chief designer Denis Shtilman said that Ukraine is working on munitions potentially capable of striking targets on the territory of Moscow.

The Flamingo cruise missile (index FP-5) belongs to the class of long-range ground-launched strike missiles and, according to available data, is being developed by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. The project is dated to around 2025; testing and the start of production have been reported, but much of the information remains limited and not officially confirmed.

According to open-source estimates, the missile’s range may reach up to 3,000 kilometers, placing it in the category of deep-strike systems. The warhead is estimated at approximately 1,000–1,150 kilograms. The flight speed is believed to be up to 900–950 km/h, corresponding to the subsonic class. The total mass may reach about 6 tons, with a wingspan of around 6 meters.

A turbojet engine is indicated as the propulsion system, and the guidance system includes satellite (GPS/GNSS) and inertial components. According to estimates, the design allows low-altitude flight, which may be used to bypass air defense systems.
