Zelensky Reports 3,000 Russian Strike Drones in One Week
Zelensky says Russia launched 3,000 strike drones, 1,450 guided bombs and 40 missiles at Ukraine in a week, marking one of 2026’s highest totals.
According to Vladimir Zelensky, Russian forces launched 3,000 strike UAVs against Ukraine over the past week.
He also said on his Telegram channel that Russia used 1,450 guided aerial bombs and 40 missiles of various types during the same period.
Zelensky stated that the figure was higher than in any other week since the start of 2026, second only to the peak at the end of January. At that time, he said, Russian forces had deployed about 6,000 drones.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that between March 21 and March 27, Russian troops carried out one massive strike and five group strikes on facilities linked to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. The ministry said those attacks were conducted in response to Kiev’s strikes on civilian infrastructure in Russia.
According to the ministry, the targets hit included Ukrainian defense industry enterprises, as well as fuel and energy, transport, and airfield infrastructure used in the interests of the AFU. The strikes also targeted production sites for remotely operated boats, along with locations used to manufacture, store, and prepare long-range strike drones for deployment.
