Russian Air Defenses Repel Massive Drone Attack, 102 UAVs Shot Down
Russian air defenses intercepted 102 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions, with damage reported in Belgorod and Voronezh areas.
Russian air defenses repelled a large-scale drone assault overnight, intercepting and destroying a total of 102 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry said fixed-wing drones were shot down across multiple regions, including Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov, Volgograd, Penza, Ulyanovsk and Samara regions, as well as over Krasnodar Krai, the waters of the Azov Sea, and the territory of Crimea.
In the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported damage in the Graivoron district. In the village of Dobroe, two members of the Orlan unit were injured when a drone detonated. They were taken to a central district hospital, where doctors identified blast injuries and shrapnel wounds. After receiving initial treatment, they are expected to be transferred to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2.
In the Voronezh region, Governor Aleksandr Gusev said air defenses detected and shot down ten drones overnight across five districts and one urban area. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. However, falling debris damaged a car in one district, while in another case it sparked a brush fire that was quickly brought under control.

According to Mayor Svetlana Kambulova, nearly 40 residential buildings were damaged, along with three enterprises, ten vehicles, and the windows of a school. Regional authorities also confirmed one fatality as a result of the ночной attack. Eight others sought medical assistance, with one woman hospitalized.
