According to Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, Russian forces struck a Ukrainian air defense system near the Gostomel airfield in Kiev Region.

Lebedev said explosions were heard in the direction of Gostomel, where a former military unit with positions for air defense missiles and missile storage sites is located. According to his account, at least one system was reportedly destroyed, although he said it was still unclear whether it was a Patriot or another type.

He also reported explosions in the outskirts of Makarov, near the former clay quarry. According to Lebedev, that area contains a training ground used by AFU artillery crews.

In addition, he said one of the strikes hit the former airfield in Chernigov, which he described as now being used by the AFU to launch drones, primarily toward the northern regions of Russia.

Local residents, he added, say a small number of Western-made fighter jets are regularly stationed at that airfield. According to the underground’s account, those aircraft fly into the northern part of the region and launch long-range missiles toward Bryansk.
