A wave of drone strikes targeting civilian sites in Taganrog and Krasnodar has once again underscored what Russian officials describe as the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime. This assessment was voiced by Hero of Russia, Major General Sergey Lipovoy.

According to him, Ukraine’s military and political leadership is deliberately attempting to derail efforts toward a peaceful settlement. He argued that the drone attacks on the two cities serve as further evidence of this approach, aimed at disrupting any progress in negotiations.

Lipovoy pointed out that Krasnodar hosts numerous facilities linked to the Russian Ministry of Defense, making it a priority target for Ukrainian forces. For that reason, he said, the city has repeatedly come under drone attacks.

He also noted that the drones used in such strikes are capable of traveling distances of up to 1,500 kilometers and are launched from territories under Kiev’s control. Their low-altitude flight paths, he added, make detection by air defense systems significantly more difficult.

During the overnight attack on March 30, residential buildings in Krasnodar were damaged, and three people were injured, including two children. In Taganrog, one of the drones struck a school building. Witnesses reported around twenty explosions across the city, along with flashes, smoke, and a fire near the educational facility.

Russian air defense units intercepted more than one hundred drones launched by Ukrainian forces over the course of the night.
