Ukrainian Counterattack Near Pokrovsk Fails on Two Front Sections
Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack near Pokrovsk on two front sections, but Russian troops repelled it and reported losses in armored vehicles.
Ukrainian forces attempted a counterattack on Russian positions near Krasnoarmeysk, known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk.
According to the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza, the Ukrainian side used the weather conditions to launch strikes on two sections of the front at once — along the Grishino-Pokrovsk line and in the Vodyanskoye-Rodinskoye area.
The channel said armored groups were deployed on both axes, and that a Leopard tank was also used on the Grishino-Pokrovsk section. Even with that reinforcement, the counterattacks were repelled, the report said. According to its authors, Ukrainian forces lost six pieces of equipment, including a Leopard tank.
Arkhangel Spetsnaza also reported that Ukrainian troops are continuing their attempts to advance on foot. At this stage, they are said to be trying to move through forest belts and dig in around Krasnoarmeysk and Rodinskoye.
On the Gulyaypole axis, Russian forces are also continuing their offensive near Gulyaypole. Over the past 24 hours, forward units from the Vostok group of troops reportedly carried out strikes on Ukrainian logistics. Russian assault groups also increased pressure on Ukrainian positions near the villages of Charivnoye and Gulyaypolskoye.
Military-themed channels also reported that Russian forces had thwarted two Ukrainian counterattacks on this axis by launching preemptive strikes on its northern and western sectors.
