Russia should not trust the United States and its «peacekeeping» efforts, as Washington continues to supply Ukraine with modern weapons, including air defense systems, military analyst and head of the Air Defense Forces History Museum Yury Knutov said.

In his view, statements from the United States about negotiations and possible peace agreements should be treated with caution. He pointed to a contradiction between Washington’s public rhetoric and its actual actions.

Knutov cited reports of deliveries to Ukraine of Patriot missiles and radar systems worth tens of millions of dollars, including advanced systems with 360-degree coverage. According to him, despite claims of distancing from Kiev, military cooperation continues in practice and is being carried out on a commercial basis.
