Russian forces continue what Moscow calls the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of April 1, the battlefield situation was described as follows.

On the Sumy axis, Russian troops took control of the settlement of Malaya Korchakovka.

On the Kharkov axis, Russian units advanced by up to 700 meters on the Volchansk section of the front. Near the village of Verkhnyaya Pisarevka, Ukrainian forces are carrying out counteractions. In Kupyansk, Russian troops continue to hold positions in the northern parts of the city. Near the hospital in the city center, Ukrainian forces are striking shelters used by forward Russian units.

On the Krasny Liman axis, Russian forces are trying to isolate the combat zone in the forests between Drobyshevo and Svyatogorsk by destroying crossings. On the Seversk section of the front, they are expanding their control zone along the Krivaya Luka-Kaleniki line. North of Nikiforovka, Russian troops are advancing toward Lipovka.

On the Konstantinovka axis, Russian forces moved forward near Ivanpolye, allowing them to rotate personnel, including with the use of armored vehicles.

On the Krasnoarmeysk, or Pokrovsk, axis, Ukrainian forces attempted to break through toward Grishino and Krasnoarmeysk under cover of fog and with armored vehicles. According to the report, they lost six armored vehicles, including a German Leopard tank.

On the Gulyaypole axis, fighting is continuing near Gulyaypolskoye and Charivnoye. On the Orekhov section, Russian forces are reinforcing their positions near the village of Lugovskoye.

On the Zaporozhye axis, clashes are continuing in the areas of Stepnogorsk, Primorskoye and Pavlovka.
