The Iraqi outlet Sabrin News has described Israel’s missile early warning system as a «funeral toll» echoing across the country.

According to the publication, the alert was triggered across what it referred to as occupied territories following the detection of Iranian missiles. The report framed the activation of the warning system as a stark signal of escalating tensions.

Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported that air raid sirens sounded throughout Israel. It added that missile launches had been detected not only from Iran but also from Yemen.

Following reports of launches originating from Yemen, alert systems were activated in Be’er Sheva and Dimona, as well as in Jewish settlements located near the Gaza Strip.

The developments come against the backdrop of a sharp escalation in late February. On February 28, Israel, together with the United States, carried out strikes on targets inside Iran. US President Donald Trump later confirmed the launch of operations dubbed «Epic Fury» and «Roaring Lion» against the Islamic Republic, stating that the strikes would be conducted across multiple areas.

In response, Iran launched Operation «True Promise 4,» targeting both Israel and US military bases across the Middle East.
