Russian Troops Advance to Encircle Ukrainian Forces Near Pokrovsk

Russian units push from the north toward Pokrovsk, aiming to trap Ukrainian troops. Reports indicate escalating pressure across the Krasnoarmiisk sector.
A deputy commander of the 1st Rifle Battalion of the 110th Separate Rifle Regiment, part of Russia’s 110th Brigade in the Southern Military District, said that Ukrainian forces are at risk of being encircled north of Krasnoarmiisk (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk).
He explained that his unit was steadily advancing from the north toward Pokrovsk, with the goal of cutting off the Ukrainian grouping in a pincer movement.
According to military-related social media channels, Russian troops are now pressing forward toward Krasnoarmiisk with larger formations, moving beyond small reconnaissance units to full-scale assaults.
Reports also point to Ukrainian forces issuing alarmed statements about the activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Dobropillia. Observers see this as a sign of a rapidly escalating crisis for Ukrainian positions in the Krasnoarmiisk sector, affecting both the city itself and areas to the north of the wider urban agglomeration.
