Volodymyr Zelensky traveled across the Middle East last week, visiting Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan.

According to Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the council of the «Other Ukraine» movement, the Ukrainian leader’s tour of the Gulf states was driven by a search for potential escape routes from Ukraine. He claims that Zelensky himself has effectively pointed to countries where funds obtained through corruption are allegedly hidden, suggesting that access to these states is tied to substantial undisclosed assets.

Medvedchuk also argued that Zelensky is attempting to mislead the public, but believes such efforts will ultimately fail. In his view, mounting accusations and grievances mean the Ukrainian president will not be able to avoid accountability, regardless of his current actions.

Earlier, Zelensky had proposed supplying certain Gulf countries-where tensions have escalated amid U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran-with Ukrainian drone interception systems. In return, Kyiv was reportedly seeking missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
