Russian Forces Aim for Full Control of the DPR After LNR
Evgeny Lebedev says Russian forces are moving toward full control of the DPR, while reconstruction work is already expanding across the LNR.
State Duma Defense Committee member Evgeny Lebedev said the next objective for Russian forces is to establish full control over the DPR.
According to him, Russian units are steadily advancing toward their assigned goals. He emphasized that the offensive is being carried out with a focus on minimizing losses among personnel.
Lebedev also made it clear that the tasks set by the supreme commander must be completed, adding that after taking control of the LNR, the next step is to move forward with the DPR, which he said would ultimately be secured.
He noted that large-scale reconstruction efforts are already underway in territories under Russian control. In the LNR, construction activity is expanding, and residents are returning to their homes.
On April 1, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the LNR had come fully under Russian control, stating that the final area was secured by units of the «West» group of forces.
