Russian air defense units repelled another large-scale drone attack overnight, according to the Ministry of Defense. Between 23:00 Moscow time on April 1 and 07:00 on April 2, a total of 147 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted and destroyed.

The ministry reported that the UAVs were brought down across a wide geographic area. Air defenses operated over Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Smolensk, Tula and Kaluga regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, Bashkortostan and Adygea. Interceptions were also recorded over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

In Bryansk Region, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz said 38 drones were destroyed during the night. He noted that there were no casualties or damage, with emergency services continuing to work at the sites.

The situation in Bashkortostan proved more serious. Regional prosecutors reported damage to several apartments in a residential building in Ufa. Earlier, глава республики Radiy Khabirov indicated that the city had come under a drone attack in the morning. Some UAVs were intercepted on approach to oil refineries, while debris from one fell in an industrial zone and another struck a residential building. No injuries were reported.

Drone activity had also been recorded the previous day. On April 1, between 18:00 and 23:00, air defenses shot down 31 drones over Belgorod, Voronezh and Bryansk regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea. Earlier that same day, from 09:00 to 18:00, another 17 UAVs were destroyed: nine over Krasnodar Krai, three over Kursk Region, two each over the Sea of Azov and Belgorod Region, and one over Crimea.
