According to a source in the Russian security services, the Ukrainian command is moving engineering units from the western regions into border areas. The source said these forces are intended for remote mining operations and attacks.
In the same account, the source claimed that the enemy is using those units both to mine sections of the state border from a distance and to carry out attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure. He also said Russian troops are detecting and eliminating such forces in time, pointing to numerous obituaries appearing on social media as evidence.
Earlier, military Telegram channels reported that the Ukrainian command was transferring reserves to Belopolye in the Sumy Region for possible provocations near the Russian border. Those reports also said Ukrainian volunteers were trying to find rental housing in the city for soldiers and officers.
Belopolye is located not far from the Russian border. The Kursk settlement of Tetkino lies roughly 10 kilometers away in a straight line.
