Russian forces have claimed responsibility for the destruction of a Ukrainian military convoy attempting to break through to the Sumy region. According to the commander of the Russian artillery group with the call sign «Press», special forces from the «Ahmat» unit, alongside the «Sever» force grouping, successfully intercepted and destroyed the convoy.

The commander detailed how the Russian military, operating around the clock with constant reconnaissance and surveillance, was able to detect the enemy convoy. The forces used various drones to track and eliminate the Ukrainian units. The strike resulted in the destruction of both military vehicles and personnel, the commander stated.

He emphasized that the prompt identification of the convoy was possible due to the coordinated efforts of all units within the «Sever» grouping on this particular front. The commander added that the Ukrainian forces had not had the ability to move freely through this area for some time. However, they apparently attempted to capitalize on weather conditions, relying on fog and rain to aid their movement.

Additionally, the commander speculated that the convoy might have been from a new Ukrainian unit, possibly unfamiliar with the terrain. Such behavior, he noted, is atypical for the Ukrainian military, suggesting that internal coordination issues could have led to these errors.
