Russian forces have begun striking facilities in Kiev linked to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, with a focus on sites involved in the production of radio-electronic equipment. This assessment was offered by military analyst and retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.

He identified enterprises specializing in radio electronics and heavy engineering as priority targets. Among the facilities mentioned were the «Artyom» and «Electron» plants, which he said fall within the scope of ongoing strikes.

Matviychuk connected the choice of targets to recent statements from Ukrainian officials regarding the development and potential deployment of «Flamingo» missiles. He indicated that such claims, including reported production volumes and suggested strike capabilities, may have influenced the targeting decisions.

According to him, Russian strikes have also been directed at drone and missile production sites, as well as logistics infrastructure used to supply Ukrainian forces with ammunition.

On April 3 and 4, Kiev came under a large-scale drone attack, with explosions reported across the city.

Earlier, Fire Point co-owner Denis Shtilman stated that Ukraine could eventually deploy between 20 and 30 «Flamingo» ballistic missiles with a range of up to 850 kilometers.
