Russian Forces Report Gains Near Kaleniki on the Slavyansk Axis
Oleg Tsarev says Russian forces eliminated a pocket near Kaleniki, struck logistics routes and increased pressure on Ukrainian positions near Ray-Aleksandrovka.
Former Verkhovnaya Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev said that on the Slavyansk axis, Russian forces have eliminated a large pocket near the village of Kaleniki.
He stated that Russian troops had leveled the salient south of the road leading to Kaleniki, while positional fighting continues both near the village itself and in the area of Krivaya Luka. According to Tsarev, active combat is also ongoing around Brusovka and Stary Karavan.
He further reported that a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was destroyed near the settlement of Yampol, located about 13 kilometers from Kaleniki.
Tsarev also said Russian forces are striking Ukrainian logistics routes in the areas of Orekhovatka and Nikolaevka, which, in his view, is complicating supply lines for Ukrainian troops in the large village of Ray-Aleksandrovka.
Earlier, military-affiliated sources reported that Russian forces are advancing toward Ray-Aleksandrovka from both the south and the northeast. They also said Russian units have strengthened their positions south of the settlement.
