Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The agency reported that the attacks took place between 23:00 on April 8 and 07:00 on April 9. The drones were shot down over the Kursk and Astrakhan regions, the Krasnodar Territory, as well as above the waters of the Azov Sea.

On the morning of April 9, Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported that a kamikaze drone struck a civilian vehicle in the village of Novy Ropsk in the Klimovsky district. A local resident was injured in the attack and taken to hospital, where she received medical assistance. The vehicle sustained damage, and emergency and operational services remain at the scene.

Earlier, on April 8, air defense forces destroyed 16 drones between 15:00 and 23:00 over the Belgorod and Rostov regions, the Republic of Crimea, and the Azov Sea. Another six drones were intercepted earlier that day, between 09:00 and 15:00, over the Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk regions, as well as over Crimea.
