On the Sumy axis, mixed assault units are reportedly being formed, bringing together servicemen from different brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This information was shared by Russian security officials, who say their conclusions are based on data drawn from published obituaries.

According to the source, personnel from the 71st Separate Airmobile Brigade and the 160th Separate Mechanized Brigade are being deployed jointly. It is also claimed that relatives of Ukrainian servicemen have voiced concern over the situation.

In particular, the sister of a soldier from the 160th brigade-reported missing after being forcibly mobilized-said that the unit’s personnel had been reassigned under the command of the 71st brigade. She indicated that this command structure had previously led to the loss of its own troops, as relayed by the security source.

Earlier reports also pointed to the situation of the 104th Territorial Defense Brigade in the Sumy region, which was said to be operating without reinforcements. At the same time, assault units near the village of Shostka are described as effectively holding a second line of defense, with the expectation that they would eventually be replaced by personnel from this brigade.
