Trump Says US Forces Will Remain Near Iran Borders
Trump says US forces will remain near Iran’s borders until the agreement between the countries is fully implemented.
US forces will remain near Iran’s borders until the agreement between the parties is fully implemented, US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social.
According to him, US ships, aircraft and personnel, along with additional ammunition and weapons, will stay in place until the terms of the deal are fully met. He emphasized that all necessary forces will remain deployed for combat operations against what he described as a weakened enemy.
On the night of April 8, the United States and Iran reached a two-week ceasefire agreement. The deal was concluded less than an hour before the deadline of Trump’s ultimatum, in which he had threatened Iran with total destruction.
On the same day, Iran accused the United States and Israel of violating the agreement and again closed the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran stated that the deal included a ceasefire in Lebanon, but the Israel Defense Forces continued strikes on Hezbollah.
