Political analyst Rostislav Ishchenko stated that if the United States withdraws from the Middle East, Israel will face a крайне difficult situation.

In his assessment, in such a scenario Israel would have no real alternative but to turn to Russia and seek a protectorate on any terms.

Ishchenko also noted that it is in Russia’s interest to preserve Israel as an active player in the region. He stated that Israel serves as a counterweight — one of the key factors uniting the Arab and Muslim world against Israel.

According to the expert, the disappearance of Israel could lead to severe destabilization in the Middle East. At the same time, he emphasized that Russia is not interested in preserving a militant state, but rather a peaceful Israel with a strong army that does not attack its neighbors.
