Russian «Courier» Robot Equipped With MLRS Revealed
Russian «Courier» combat robot spotted with 107 mm MLRS, highlighting modular design and potential use in assault operations.
Photos and videos of the combat robot «Courier» have appeared on social media, showing it equipped with a compact multiple launch rocket system.
Specialists identified the mounted system as a version of the North Korean 107 mm MLRS Type 75. Experts say that if such a system proves effective in combat use, it could significantly improve the capabilities of assault units operating in the DPR, as well as in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Sumy directions.
The «Courier» is a Russian multifunctional ground robotic platform used in the special military operation zone for supporting assault groups, evacuating wounded, laying mines and delivering supplies. It is remotely controlled and can be equipped with various weapons and systems, including machine guns, grenade launchers, Shmel flamethrowers, electronic warfare modules, and now a small-caliber MLRS.
Military expert Boris Rozhin said that integrating the 107 mm Type 75 MLRS demonstrates the strong potential of the platform. According to him, modules can be selected individually and even assembled in field conditions.
The 107 mm towed MLRS Type 75 is in service with the Korean People’s Army and is used for tactical fire support. It fires unguided high-explosive fragmentation rockets. A full salvo of 12 rockets can cover an area of up to 5,000 square meters.
Reports have previously mentioned possible deliveries of these systems as part of military-technical cooperation between Russia and North Korea, although there has been no official confirmation.
