Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that Moscow has not been idle and now possesses advanced weaponry beyond the «Oreshnik» missile system. Speaking on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, he noted that while the Oreshnik is part of Russia’s arsenal, there are other systems as well.

When asked about the possible use of undisclosed weapons, Ryabkov explained that he could not reveal details of items that are classified, but confirmed that such capabilities do exist.

Addressing the potential deployment of Russian weapons in newly incorporated regions, he stressed that specifying particular geographic locations or regions would be both wrong and irresponsible. He added that a range of deployment options is always under consideration.

The Oreshnik system was first mentioned publicly on November 21, 2024, when Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that, in response to the use of Western long-range weapons against Russia, newly developed medium-range ballistic missiles in a non-nuclear configuration had been employed for the first time. The target was a Ukrainian defense industry facility — the Yuzhmash plant.
