Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok stated that the United States made a number of serious mistakes during its military operation against Iran.

In his assessment, one of the key problems was the failure to fully utilize the capabilities of the US armed forces. He believes that the decision to achieve results quickly with limited forces led to much of the military’s potential remaining unused.

Another mistake, according to the expert, was the failure to establish control over the Strait of Hormuz at the very beginning of the conflict. He argues that the US did not take the necessary steps to seize this strategically important area despite its critical significance.

Khodarenok also pointed to the insufficient scale of forces involved, noting that the resources deployed were not enough to accomplish the objectives.

In addition, he expressed doubts that clear military-political goals had been properly defined. In his view, decisions were made without adequate planning, and the level of Donald Trump’s personal involvement in preparing key documents raises questions.
