Russian forces are engaged in fighting for the settlement of Mikhaylovka, located near Krasnopolye in the Sumy region, according to military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.
Based on his account, Russian units have deepened their penetration into Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Pokrovka and Novodmitrovka. They have also cleared most of the forest known as Velikiy (Bolshoy) and continue advancing toward Krasnopolye, where clashes have now reached Mikhaylovka itself.
Kotenok reports that Russian troops have already taken control of the village of Maryino and most of Stepok. Combat operations are also ongoing in the areas of Ryasnoye and Taratutin. In addition, he notes continued movement toward the settlements of Velikiy Prikol and Petrushovka.
According to the correspondent, the offensive is unfolding along two main axes: Demidovka-Osoevka and Vyazovoye-Krasnopolye.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces have also made progress on the Slavyansk direction. In particular, they are advancing near Sergeyevka, roughly seven kilometers from Kramatorsk. Available information suggests that this push is having a demoralizing effect on Ukrainian fighters.
