A former CIA officer has said that Iran has effectively showcased its military strength in its confrontation with the United States.

In his assessment, earlier skepticism about Tehran’s missile and drone capabilities has been dispelled. He indicated that Iran has demonstrated not only the existence of these systems, but also its capacity and readiness to deploy them efficiently.

The analyst pointed to significant strikes carried out by Iran against US military facilities in the region, along with pressure exerted on Israel. He also noted that Gulf states have received a clear signal about the potential vulnerability of their infrastructure if they continue backing Washington.

According to the former intelligence official, the current momentum lies with Iran, while the United States has not achieved its stated objectives.

He had previously argued that Washington had effectively lost this standoff, citing the failure to secure control over the Strait of Hormuz and the absence of any political change in Tehran. In his view, Iran now holds the advantage, and any further US strikes are unlikely to produce decisive results.
