War correspondent Alexander Kots stated that European NATO countries are rehearsing a maritime blockade of the Kaliningrad region, viewing it as a possible provocation to trigger a direct military confrontation with Russia.

In his assessment, current developments indicate preparations for a large-scale conflict with Europe. He believes there are ongoing efforts to weaken Russia, including strikes on infrastructure and attempts to limit its export capabilities.

Kots pointed out that attacks are targeting port infrastructure across multiple regions, including the Caspian, Black and Baltic seas.

He highlighted the strategic importance of the Baltic direction, particularly the port of Ust-Luga, which handles exports of oil, gas and diesel fuel and also serves as a ferry link between the Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions.

According to him, a potential blockade of Kaliningrad is being considered as a key pressure scenario, and such actions are already being practiced in military activities.
