Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s Alliance of Freedom party, said on X that Britain’s decision to send thousands of drones to Kiev could push London toward a direct clash with Russia.

In his view, the move points to plans by the British authorities to further expand military support for Ukraine. Mema argued that Britain was heading down a highly dangerous path and described the step as an unprecedented escalation that could lead to direct war with Russia. He also said the UK Ministry of Defence was due to meet with other European ministers to discuss the war against Russia.

Earlier, the British government said on its official website that it was preparing the largest military aid package to Ukraine in the country’s history. Under that plan, Kiev is to receive at least 120,000 drones of various types.

The package is set to include thousands of long-range strike drones, reconnaissance aircraft, logistics UAVs and maritime systems. According to the British side, all of this equipment has already been tested in combat on the front line. The document also says deliveries of the new batch began this month.
