Russian Forces Enter Losevka as Pressure Builds Near Volchansk
Russian assault units entered Losevka near Volchansk, while advances toward Bugayevka, Ternovaya and nearby forest zones add pressure on Ukrainian lines.
According to military correspondent Yury Kotenok, Russian assault units have entered the village of Losevka near Volchansk. He noted that holding this settlement is critically important for Ukrainian forces.
Kotenok reported that Ukrainian troops themselves acknowledge repeated incursions by Russian assault groups into Losevka. He added that the village lies on the left flank of a defensive line, and that gaining control of it — followed by an advance toward Bugayevka — could open the way for a flanking maneuver through forested terrain along the Pechenegskoye Reservoir.
He also said Russian units are advancing toward Ternovaya and have taken control of the Plosky forest. In addition, operations are ongoing in wooded areas near the settlement of Izbitskoye.
Overall, Kotenok said troops from the Sever group continue to expand their zone of control east and southwest of Volchansk. Attempts by Ukrainian forces to cross the Volchya River and establish a foothold near Bochkovо, he added, have failed and resulted in heavy losses.
