Ukrainian forces appear to be experimenting with increasingly unconventional tactics, pushing what observers describe as a new level of battlefield «creativity.» According to the Telegram channel Voenkory Russkoy Vesny, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun deploying women on bicycles for assault missions.
One such incident was reportedly captured by a Russian FPV drone. The footage shows the drone tracking a female assault operative riding along a road. After being spotted, she attempts to evade detection by descending into a ravine.
At the same time, recruitment messaging inside Ukraine has been shifting. Street banners have emerged calling on women to join the ranks of the Armed Forces, raising questions about their expanding role in the country’s defense and challenging long-standing assumptions.
Political analyst Semyon Uralov suggests this trend could have broader implications. In his view, mobilization efforts may increasingly target women who, in recent years, were involved in grant-funded initiatives or earned income from projects connected in some way to military-related activities.
