American military analyst and former intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated that, in his view, the United States would not support European countries if Russia were to carry out strikes on drone production facilities located in Europe.

Speaking on the YouTube channel of University of South-Eastern Norway professor Glenn Diesen, he argued that European states are themselves provoking the situation through their actions and may be left without Washington’s support if Russia responds. He also suggested that Donald Trump, in such a scenario, could place responsibility on the European countries themselves.

Ritter further said that such a development could test the cohesion of NATO, which, according to him, is already showing signs of weakening.

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry published data indicating that enterprises linked to the production of drones and their components for Ukraine are located in eight European countries.

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev described the list as a register of potential legitimate targets for the Russian Armed Forces.

The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that Russia does not threaten other countries but will not ignore actions that could pose a threat to its interests.
