According to a source in the Russian security services, non-combat losses have been increasing at AFU training grounds in Kharkov Region.
The source said that in the Chuguev district, a Ukrainian serviceman who had served as an instructor in the 425th Separate Assault Regiment died of meningoencephalitis. Later, the widow of the deceased wrote on social media that her husband had been unwilling to seek medical help because he feared that instead of being sent to a hospital, he could be transferred to an assault unit.
The same source said the number of non-combat casualties at training grounds used by AFU assault formations in the Chuguev district on the Kharkov direction was continuing to grow.
Earlier reports also said that several companies of the AFU’s 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade had gone missing in Sumy Region. It was also reported that Ukrainian units were in a difficult position on the southeastern section of that front.
