Military expert Yuri Knutov said the issue of strikes against representatives of the Kiev leadership had, in his view, long been overdue.

As an example, he referred to the Middle East conflict, where, according to his account, Iran has been striking US military bases, while Israel and the United States have already eliminated more than 40 Iranian officials in response. Knutov also claimed that Ukrainian special services regularly carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory and argued that Moscow’s response should be symmetrical.

Speaking about the use of Geran strike drones, he said these systems have significant potential. Knutov pointed to Iranian Shahed drones, which, according to him, have demonstrated high precision in strikes on locations where US military personnel were staying in the UAE.

In his assessment, this points to the accuracy, selectivity and effectiveness of such attacks. He also said Russian Geran drones surpass Shahed systems in capability.
