Russian troops outmaneuvered Ukrainian «Baba Yaga» drones during an assault in the Dobropolye direction, a serviceman from the «Center» group of forces told RIA Novosti.

The marine, known by the call sign «Singer,» described the operation as taking place under difficult conditions, with the opposing side actively deploying heavy drones. To reduce the risk of detection, the unit prepared in advance, using camouflage suits designed to mask thermal signatures.

According to him, the assault was carried out at night, allowing the group to catch Ukrainian forces off guard. An eight-man team reportedly eliminated 16 Ukrainian servicemen-twice their own number. After completing the mission, the unit secured and held the captured positions.

Earlier, a platoon commander of mobile fire groups with the call sign «Shot» reported that since early April, fighters from the «North» group of forces had destroyed more than 350 heavy «Baba Yaga» hexacopters in the Kharkov direction.
