According to Vitaly Sarantsev, head of communications for the 14th Army Corps of the Ukrainian armed forces, Russian troops are advancing along almost the entire front line.

He said the heaviest situation in Kharkov Region has developed near the settlement of Veterinarny, where, in his account, Russian forces are operating with the greatest intensity. Sarantsev also said the current uptick in Russian activity is affecting the entire front and putting pressure on rear areas, which in turn is dispersing air defence assets.

Military Telegram channels reported that the village of Veterinarnoye in Kharkov Region had come under Russian control a day earlier. According to those reports, taking the settlement could allow Russian units to push toward nearby Kazachya Lopan, described as a key node in the Ukrainian defensive system.

The same reports say fierce fighting is continuing in Krasnopolsky district and in the north-western sectors of the Kupyansk direction. Heavy battles are also said to be underway near Kurilovka, Novoosinovo and on the western approaches to Kupyansk.
