Russian army units have stepped up offensive operations in the northeast of the Kharkov region, according to military analyst Boris Rozhin.

Based on the information he cites, Russian forces are advancing on the Volchansk axis across several sectors simultaneously. He reports that movement is being recorded in multiple settlements along this direction.

One area of activity lies between Bely Kolodez and Prikolotnoye, where Russian troops are increasing pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions. Another stretch of the offensive runs along the line from Verkhnyaya Pisarovka to Losevka and Bugayevka.

Rozhin also notes that Russian forces have expanded their zone of control around Zybino and continue clearing forest belts near Izbitskoye.

At the same time, he adds, Ukrainian forces are attempting to establish a strategic defensive posture along the entire front line.
