Russian Air Defenses Down 154 Drones Across Multiple Regions
Russian air defenses shot down 154 drones over more than ten regions as strikes targeted oil sites, chemical plants, and substations in Melitopol.
Over the past night, Russian air defenses shot down 154 hostile drones across more than ten regions of the country. The wave of attacks, however, had begun earlier, with air defense crews already intercepting UAVs in the border areas of the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions on the morning of the previous day.
According to the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza, the scale of the strikes suggests that Kiev is not facing any serious difficulties in producing fixed-wing drones. The authors argue that this is what allows Ukrainian forces to launch more than one hundred UAVs at Russian territory on a regular basis.
The channel said the pattern has remained unchanged, with over 100 drones being recorded on average almost every day. In its view, that points to stable production capacity on the Ukrainian side, and the allocation of new funding is only likely to reinforce that trend.
It also said that the latest targets once again included oil infrastructure facilities and chemical plants. In addition, Arkhangel Spetsnaza reported that Ukrainian forces had once again struck substations in Melitopol. The channel’s authors believe these attacks are aimed at weakening Russia’s rear areas as part of operations on the Primorsk direction.
