Russian units engaged in fighting for Novoaleksandrovka on the Dobropolye axis have cleared a tactical «pocket» between the settlement and the city of Rodinskoye, according to military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.

He reported that combat is ongoing on the outskirts of Novoaleksandrovka, adding that the area north of the farms-previously forming a salient between Rodinskoye and Novoaleksandrovka-has been eliminated.

Kotenok also indicated that Russian forces are battling for Mine No. 2 «Vodyanskaya» and operating in the area of the Vodyanoy Yar gully. Units advancing along the left bank of the Grishinka River have, in his account, taken control of the southern shores of both local ponds and moved closer to the settlement of Mirnoye.

On the right bank, assault groups have secured the dam of the Boytsovsky-Shchitinovsky pond. Fighting continues on the eastern outskirts of Vasilievka, as well as in the forest belt stretching between the reservoir and the village.
