The Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost control over the Sumy-Pisarivka highway, cutting off a key supply route to frontline positions in the Sumy region, a source in Russian security structures told TASS.
According to the source, the road is under fire control of Russian drone operators, making its use difficult. The route had been used to supply Ukrainian units located dozens of kilometers from Sumy.
The source noted that this section played an important logistical role, providing rapid access to frontline positions. The route is about 20 km long and could previously be covered in roughly 30 minutes by passenger vehicle.
The situation may complicate the position of Ukrainian forces in the Sumy area.
