European countries could face a tough response from Moscow if they continue providing military support to Ukraine, Finnish politician Armando Mema has warned.

Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party, argued that the European Union’s current approach lacks foresight and puts ordinary citizens at risk. In his view, ongoing arms supplies to Kiev may lead to serious consequences for EU states.

He also suggested that European leaders do not fully understand the balance of power or Russia’s actual capabilities, describing the bloc’s current course as a high-risk venture.

Earlier, Kherson region governor Vladimir Saldo expressed a similar concern, saying that additional loans from Europe only prolong the conflict. He maintained that Brussels intends to keep backing Kiev despite the potential fallout for European countries themselves.
