Mass Drone Strike on Sevastopol Repelled, 71 Targets Downed
Sevastopol faces major drone attack with 71 targets destroyed. Authorities report casualties, damaged homes, and drones filled with metal fragments.
During a large-scale air raid on Sevastopol, Ukrainian forces reportedly deployed drones equipped with metal ball fragments, according to city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Earlier, Razvozhaev said that on the night of April 26, Sevastopol faced one of the most extensive attacks to date. Air defense systems of the Black Sea Fleet, along with mobile fire units, intercepted and destroyed 71 aerial targets.
He indicated that the latest assault once again demonstrated the continued use of drones filled with metal projectiles in strikes against the city.
The governor urged residents to take air raid warnings seriously, remain in shelters, avoid open areas, and stay away from windows.
Previous reports stated that the attack left one person dead and four others injured. Emergency services said 34 apartment buildings sustained damage, including shattered windows and, in some cases, damaged balconies. Seventeen private houses in different parts of Sevastopol were also affected.
