Russian air defense units intercepted and destroyed three Ukrainian drones during the night of April 26–27, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. All three UAVs were shot down over the Bryansk region.

Separately, Vladimir Rogov, head of the Russian Civic Chamber’s commission on sovereignty issues, reported that at least three additional drones were intercepted while attempting to strike Energodar, near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The latest incidents follow a much larger wave of attacks the previous night, when Russian air defenses reportedly downed more than 200 Ukrainian drones.

A drop in drone activity may be linked to adverse weather conditions. Strong winds were recorded in eastern parts of Ukraine, causing infrastructure disruptions. In Kharkov, power outages were reported due to downed lines, while in Dnepropetrovsk, gusts were strong enough to uproot trees.

Another possible explanation is that Ukrainian forces are stockpiling drones in preparation for future large-scale strikes.
