Russian Drone Strikes Hit Odessa and Key Ukraine Regions
Russian forces launch Geran drone strikes on Odessa, Sumy, and other regions, targeting military sites, ports, and infrastructure with multiple explosions reported.
Russian forces carried out another wave of strikes overnight on April 27, targeting military facilities across several regions of Ukraine.
Geran drones were used in attacks on targets in Odessa, as well as in the Chernigov, Sumy, Zaporozhye, and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
In Odessa, the strikes hit military warehouses, port infrastructure, and a hotel located in the port area that was housing Ukrainian personnel and possibly foreign fighters. Explosions were reported at the impact sites, followed by secondary detonations. More than 40 Geran drones were reportedly involved in the attack on the city.
In the Sumy region, Russian forces targeted railway and critical infrastructure in Sumy, Shostka, and Romny, with local authorities reporting multiple explosions.
Strikes were also recorded in the Chernigov, Zaporozhye, and Dnepropetrovsk regions, where, according to some reports, military-industrial facilities were among the targets.
