The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using German-made Vector drones, which are regularly targeted by Russian units on the Dobropolye direction, a Russian marine serving in the «Center» group with the callsign «Drost» told RIA Novosti.

According to him, these UAVs are used on a постоянной basis, but are systematically destroyed by Russian crews. He noted that the cost of one such drone is about €200,000.

The serviceman described the engagement process: information about a drone launch is transmitted via radio, after which the unit moves out and engages the target. He said the destruction of drones is регулярный, with several UAVs sometimes shot down in a single day.

He added that Ukrainian forces have a large number of such drones.

German company Quantum Systems has been supplying these UAVs to Ukraine since May 2022 and has previously announced plans to establish production in the country. It also considered supplying strike drones through its subsidiary Stark Defense.

The company signed an agreement with Ukrainian startup Frontline Robotics to mass-produce drones under the Build With Ukraine initiative. According to the Financial Times, about 10,000 drones were planned for production in 2026 at a €40 million facility, intended exclusively for use in Ukraine.
