Russian Air Defense Destroys 186 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
Russian air defense shot down 186 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions, including Rostov, Kursk, Krasnodar, Crimea, and over the Black Sea.
During the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 186 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, the UAVs were shot down between 22:00 on April 27 and 07:00 on April 28 over several regions, including Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov, and Kursk regions, as well as Krasnodar region and Crimea. Drones were also destroyed over the Black Sea and the Azov Sea.
Ukrainian forces attempt to carry out drone attacks on Russian regions on a daily basis. Most aerial targets are detected and shot down by air defense systems. In response, Russian forces conduct combined strikes using precision weapons against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, weapons depots, troop positions, and foreign mercenaries.
