Russian Air Defense Shoots Down 41 Ukrainian Drones Across Regions
Overnight, Russian air defense destroyed 41 Ukrainian drones across Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, and other regions, with airports temporarily closed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that overnight, air defense units shot down 41 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over several Russian regions.
According to the ministry, 12 drones were destroyed over Kursk, 10 over Bryansk, and eight over Belgorod. Four drones were downed over Tula, three over Yaroslavl, and two over Rostov. One drone each was destroyed over Novgorod and Samara.
To ensure flight safety during the night of September 28, several airports were temporarily closed, including Pskov, Yaroslavl, Zhukovsky near Moscow, as well as Kaluga, Penza, and Samara. In Penza region, the «Kover» emergency plan was implemented but lifted after approximately four hours.
