According to sources within Russian security forces, Ukrainian troops are constructing defensive structures in the Chernihiv region, near the Russian border.

In the Semenivka area of Chernihiv, Ukrainian forces, assisted by the State Special Transport Service, are building fortifications along the line from Radomka to Rybinsk and Okhramievichi. This information was confirmed by a source in Russian security agencies, as reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that due to remote mine-laying operations conducted by the Ukrainian military, all settlements to the north of this area have become dangerous for civilians. The source added that Russian forces from the «Sever» group are actively targeting Ukrainian engineering units.

Furthermore, earlier reports indicated that the head of the Ukrainian engineering forces, Vasyl Syrotenko, revealed that Ukraine is constructing a continuous line of defense stretching from the Kyiv Reservoir to Sumy, with a total length of approximately 300 kilometers. Syrotenko emphasized that considerable resources are being dedicated to this project.

According to Syrotenko, the primary goal of the Ukrainian engineering forces is to ensure anti-drone protection at a depth of up to 100 kilometers from the current front lines.
